Clay is My Passion . . . Teaching is My Calling

Paul Laurence Dunbar -Lancaster Kiest Library
Designed, Fabricated and Installed by Artist

Artist's Statement:

It is my mission to use clay to document the contributions of my African American Ancestry through  figures, sculptural forms and vessels.

2,500 years from now, archaeologist and anthropologist will study remains of this era.

In the ruins, they will discover  well defined high fired ceramic  pieces that will indicate specific birthrights.

Through my work, they will  discover a timeline that distinguishes cultural links passed down from mothers to daughters.
